Depuis quelques jours, les travaux de restauration de l’\u00e9glise Saint Roch ont d\u00e9but\u00e9 en commen\u00e7ant par le ravalement des murs et de la voute de la chapelle Notre-Dame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En tentant de d\u00e9placer l’autel en bois de la chapelle Notre Dame, nous avons mis \u00e0 jour un autel en pierre beaucoup plus ancien en bon \u00e9tat. Si l’on compare avec des photos d’autels des 13e et 14e si\u00e8cles, on peut penser qu’il s’agit de l’autel d’origine puisque cette chapelle daterait du d\u00e9but du 15e. Les d\u00e9corations ogivales en bois appliqu\u00e9es sur la face avant datent sans doute du 19e si\u00e8cle avant qu’il ne soit enti\u00e8rement dissimul\u00e9 par un autel en bois qui comme le maitre-autel et la chaire datent de la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente restauration n\u00e9ogothique de l’\u00e9glise en 1895. Nous en saurons peut-\u00eatre plus lorsque nous aurons pu le nettoyer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La fabrication des vitraux est maintenant bien engag\u00e9e. Ceux du ch\u0153ur et du transept, non figuratifs et de m\u00eame style que le vitrail de Saint-Roch sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 \u00eatre pos\u00e9s. Les deux cr\u00e9ation modernes de la chapelle Notre-Dame, inspir\u00e9es des litanies de la Sainte Vierge, sont en cours de montage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
